This Website is online since 30.04.2004. It has become a repository of the materials and insights I gained during my scientific research at the Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt ( Klagenfurt itself is located in the south of Austria, only a few kilometers away from the Italian border). After I finished the Master's course of applied computer science at the University, I got a job as a project assistant.

The main area of research I am concerned with is Structured Document Retrieval (SDR). It included Machine Learning Techniques (neural nets, genetic algorithms, rule-based learning, in particular semi- and unsupervised), Computational Linguistics (tokenizing, tagging, stemming, parsing, text representation), Information Retrieval (structured document retrieval), and Data and Text Mining (document categorization, document filtering, document clustering).
